After lots of research, olive oil was developed to help those people with high cholesterol level and high blood pressure problems. Olive oil is also said to be good for heart because it offers important cardio-protective benefits.

Similar to other vegetable oils, olive oil is 100 % fatty and fat is said to be one of the main contributors to cancer and heart disease. So, how can olive oil be a cardio-protective productive and how can it be good for the heart? The main reason is that olive oil is not saturated similar to the fats present in dairy products or meat, nor it is polyunsaturated similar to other oils, instead olive oil is monounsaturated. Olive oil in particular cold pressed extra virgin olive oil has high nutrients which helps in preventing the development of plaques that increase heart attack risk and clogs arteries.

Olive oil also helps to raise the levels of HDL or high density lipoproteins (good cholesterol) and also to reduce the levels of LDL or low density lipoproteins (bad cholesterol). Moreover, olive oil helps on preventing blood clots which causes heart attack, these blood clots are formed when exceptional blood cells known as platelets bundle together and fasten to the coronary artery walls. So ,think carefully and try using olive oil in your daily diet.
